An hour exploring the canals on a kayak offers a new way to see Cape Town and its vibrant waterfront.
Explore the canals and experience Cape Town from a different angle. For those who prefer to remain seated whilst they paddle, we have kayaks too.
Both single and double kayaks available, for solo adventures or tandem tours!
Our team will take you through the basics on land, including how to paddle, and safety instructions for the canal. Then you get the chance to explore.

We have both single and double kayaks available. You can select your preference from our listings on the Activitar booking site.
Duration & location:
1 hour on the waterfront canals. Launch from our Battery Park store.
When Available:
Year round.
Requirements:
Reasonably fit and able to swim.
No SUP experience required. All equipment is included, and a short lesson is given prior to the guided paddle.
SUP and kayak rental can be combined in a group.
Weather dependent - we do not go out in or windy conditions.
Minimum Age 16 years old. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (or hire a SUP safety officer, and one of our staff will accompany younger paddlers on the water).
What to wear:
Swimwear or clothing that can get wet - bringing a change of clothing is recommended, just in case! Wetsuits are
optional but not provided.
Things to bring:
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a towel.
