Waterfront Board Rentals - 1 hour
Perfect for beginners and seasoned paddle boarders alike, an hour exploring the canals on a SUP offers a new way to see Cape Town and its vibrant waterfront.
Explore the canals and experience Cape Town from a different angle.
Great for beginners; the best way of learning is on the flat water. No hazards and no waves, makes the canals an ideal place for your first time and will make you more comfortable and confident on the board.
Our team will take you through the basics on land, including how to paddle, and safety instructions for the canal. Then you get the chance to explore. If you’d like more help with your paddling technique why not upgrade to a lesson, where our guides will come out on the water with you to demonstrate and guide you.

Location & duration:
1 hour on the Waterfront canals. Launch from our Battery Park storefront.
When Available:
Year round.
Requirments:
Minimum Age 16 years old. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (or one of our staff can come out to supervise for an extra fee of)
Reasonably fit and able to swim.
No SUP experience required. All equipment is included, and a short lesson is given prior to the guided paddle.
SUP’s and kayak rental can be combined in a group.
Weather dependent - we do not go out in or windy conditions.
What to wear:
Swimwear or clothing that can get wet - bringing a change of clothing is recommended, just in case! Wetsuits are
optional but not provided.
Things to bring:
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a towel.
Guests & Spectators are welcome to wait canal-side, or sit in one of Cape Town’s local and lekka food spots.
